OTA Updates
What are OTA translation updates?
OTA (Over-the-Air) translation updates allow you to push translation changes directly to mobile apps without requiring users to download a new version from the App Store or Google Play. When you update a translation in IntlPull, users see the change immediately without any app update.
Which platforms support OTA updates?
IntlPull OTA updates work on iOS (Swift), Android (Kotlin), and React Native. We provide native SDKs for each platform. The SDKs handle automatic update checking, delta downloads (only changed strings), offline caching, and fallback to bundled translations.
Is OTA compliant with App Store guidelines?
Yes. Apple and Google allow OTA updates for content like translations, configurations, and assets. OTA cannot update native code or app functionality. IntlPull OTA only updates translation strings, which is explicitly permitted by both app stores.
Do other translation management systems offer OTA?
No. IntlPull is currently the only translation management system that offers OTA translation updates for mobile apps. Competitors like Lokalise, Crowdin, and Phrase require you to release a new app version for every translation change.

All plans include unlimited languages, projects, and 30 team members. Enterprise pricing is available for larger needs. OTA updates and branch support are available on Professional and Enterprise plans.

Are there per-user fees?
No. IntlPull includes 30 team members on all plans at no extra cost. Additional seats are available for $3/seat/month. Enterprise plans include unlimited members. This is a key difference from competitors like Crowdin which charges $40 per user per month.
What counts as a "string"?
A string is a single translation key in your project. For example, "welcome.title" is one string. The same key translated into multiple languages still counts as one string. Plural variations of a key count as one string.

Can I migrate from Lokalise, Crowdin, or Phrase?
Yes. IntlPull offers one-click migration from Lokalise, Crowdin, Phrase, and other platforms. Use our CLI command `npx intlpull migrate --from lokalise` or the web migration tool at intlpull.com/migrate. Migration imports all projects, translations, translation memory, and glossary.
How long does migration take?
Most migrations complete in 10-30 minutes. The time depends on your project size and number of translations. The migration tool shows progress in real-time.
Will I lose any data during migration?
No. IntlPull migration preserves all your data including translations, translation memory, glossary terms, comments, and project structure. We guarantee zero data loss.

How does AI translation work in IntlPull?
IntlPull uses multiple AI providers (GPT-4, Claude, Gemini, DeepL) to translate your content. The AI is context-aware, meaning it understands where and how strings are used. You can set per-language instructions (formal vs informal, regional variants) and the AI uses your glossary and translation memory for consistency.
What does the CLI code scanner do?
The IntlPull CLI scans your codebase, finds hardcoded strings, and automatically converts them to i18n function calls. It detects your framework (React, Next.js, Vue, etc.) and uses the appropriate translation functions. Run `npx intlpull scan` to find strings or `npx intlpull scan --apply` to transform them.
How fast is the CLI for downloading translations?
IntlPull CLI uses parallel namespace fetching by default, making it one of the fastest translation CLIs available. Instead of sequential downloads, it fetches all namespaces concurrently. Use `npx intlpull sync` for one-time downloads or `npx intlpull watch` for real-time sync during development. No OTA setup required - it works with direct export for any framework.
Does IntlPull support translation memory?
Yes. IntlPull has built-in translation memory (TM) that stores all your previous translations. When you add new strings, TM automatically suggests matching translations. This ensures consistency and reduces translation costs.
Does IntlPull integrate with GitHub?
Yes. IntlPull integrates with GitHub, GitLab, and Bitbucket. You can set up automatic sync so translations are pushed and pulled as part of your CI/CD pipeline. Use webhooks or the CLI in your GitHub Actions.
What is MCP integration?
MCP (Model Context Protocol) allows AI assistants like Claude, Cursor, and Copilot to directly manage your translations. You can tell your AI assistant to "add a new translation for checkout.success" and it will create the string in IntlPull with translations for all your languages.

What file formats does IntlPull support?
IntlPull supports JSON (nested and flat), YAML, CSV, Android XML (strings.xml), iOS Strings (.strings, .stringsdict), XLIFF, PO/POT (gettext), ARB (Flutter), and PHP arrays. The import auto-detects format and can merge with existing translations.
Does IntlPull support pluralization?
Yes. IntlPull fully supports pluralization using ICU message format. It handles all plural rules including complex ones like Arabic (6 forms) and Russian (3 forms). Plural keys are grouped in the UI for easy editing.
Does IntlPull support right-to-left (RTL) languages?
Yes. IntlPull fully supports RTL languages like Arabic, Hebrew, Persian, and Urdu. The editor displays RTL text correctly, and the API/export preserves proper text direction.
Is there an API?
Yes. IntlPull provides a full REST API for all operations including creating projects, managing translations, importing/exporting, and accessing translation memory. API documentation is available at intlpull.com/docs/api.
Enterprise
Does IntlPull support SSO/SAML?
Yes. IntlPull supports enterprise SSO with SAML 2.0 and OIDC. You can connect Okta, Azure AD, Google Workspace, OneLogin, and other identity providers. SSO is available on Professional and Enterprise plans.
What security measures does IntlPull have?
IntlPull follows security best practices including encryption in transit, role-based access controls, and audit logging. We take data protection seriously and continuously improve our security posture.
Where is data stored?
IntlPull data is stored in secure cloud infrastructure with servers in the US and EU. Enterprise customers can choose their data region. All data is encrypted at rest and in transit.
